Title: Sports Teacher Successfully Completes Prestigious Himalaya Wood Badge Training
We are proud to announce that our Sports Teacher - Mr Sudhanshu Patra has successfully completed the prestigious Himalaya Wood Badge Training, conducted by the Odisha State Bharat Scouts and Guides. The intensive 8-day training program was designed to enhance leadership, teamwork, and outdoor skills, aligning with the principles of the Bharat Scouts and Guides movement.
Held in a challenging yet enriching environment, the Himalaya Wood Badge Training is one of the highest levels of training for scoutmasters and guide captains. It equips participants with advanced skills in outdoor adventure, campcraft, first aid, survival techniques, and leadership development. The rigorous curriculum also emphasizes values such as self-reliance, discipline, and service to the community—qualities that are integral to both scouting and sportsmanship.
Throughout the 8-day program, our Sports Teacher actively participated in a series of challenging activities, including:
- Advanced leadership training, aimed at fostering the ability to guide and mentor young scouts and athletes alike.
- Outdoor survival skills, including camping techniques, first aid, and navigating through natural terrains.
- Team-building exercises, emphasizing collaboration and communication—skills crucial both in scouting and in team sports.
This achievement not only reflects the dedication of our teacher to personal growth and professional development but also enhances the school’s sports and outdoor education programs. With this certification, our sports department is further empowered to incorporate valuable scouting principles such as teamwork, endurance, and leadership into daily training sessions, benefiting students in both sports and extracurricular activities.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations and look forward to seeing these newfound skills in action, fostering a spirit of resilience and community among our students.
