Onam Celebration 2024
Onam Celebrations at Bhavani School's Pre-Primary Division
The Pre-Primary Division of Bhavani School recently celebrated the vibrant and joyous festival of Onam with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor. The event was filled with activities that not only brought the spirit of Kerala’s harvest festival to life but also engaged the young learners in understanding the essence of tradition and unity.
The celebration began with a warm welcome, followed by the traditional decoration of the school premises with beautiful Pookalams (floral rangolis), made by both students and teachers. The children were dressed in traditional Kerala attire, with girls in elegant Kasavu sarees and boys in mundu, adding a festive touch to the atmosphere.
Various fun-filled activities were organized to immerse the little ones in the festive spirit. Storytelling sessions about the legend of King Mahabali, the significance of Onam, and traditional songs and dances like Thiruvathira were also part of the celebration, giving the children a deeper understanding of their cultural heritage.
Overall, the Onam celebrations at Bhavani School’s Pre-Primary Division were a grand success, filled with joy, learning, and cultural pride, creating lasting memories for both students and teachers.
