Janmashtami Celebrations 2022
Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy are the company, the power of Krishna's name. The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm, on this Janmashtami day, in India. Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Krishnashtami, is observed on the Ashtami tithi, the eighth day of the dark half or Krishna Paksha of the month of Shraavana. Lord Krishna is known worldwide and celebrated as an avatar of God Vishnu.
Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the tiny tots of Pre-Primary here at our school. The children also marked the occasion by singing and dancing with great joy. While this religious importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India, it signifies excitement, euphoria, and a joyous spirit of enthrallment. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, Our School took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers, and matkas. The premise was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with Jhankis depicting the life history of Lord Krishna. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating.
